The first fully production ready Rainbow Process Line has now been taken apart, crated up and picked up for transport to South China, where it will be installed at a leading PCB manufacturer in the coming weeks.
New to market is the Rainbow Verification System, which brings fast and easy inspection of back to front registration of printed images using a high precision camera system. The standard system is designed for corner inspection and can both display and output the collected information.
Japanese company Shirai Electronics have recently installed a Rainbow Panda coating machine at their PCB manufacturing facility in Zhuhai, China. At this facility all phototools used for production are now coated using the Rainbow Panda Coater. Smartron (Suzhou City Huayang Electronics) have also installed a Panda coater.

The first fully production ready Rainbow Process Line is nearing build completion at our facility in Glasgow, Scotland. This machine is destined for China and is capable of processing up to 180 double sided inner layer panels per hour at sizes up to 24″ x 22″.
Rainbow’s Panda Coater applies a slip coating to phototools that ensures excellent release from soldermask, extending the life of the phototools and improving the yield. Rainbow Technology Systems Design Engineer Alastair Bennett gave a presentation at the recent Institute of Circuit Technology meeting at Hayling Island.
